Many people on this site, Townhall.com, get the magazine in the mail. I recently read an article in the magazine about a young lady who spent two years with Obama on the campaign trail. After two years she had no idea about who Barak Obama really was. How are we as a country supposed to trust a man to lead us and keep our best interest at mind, when in two years a woman who reported on him had no idea who he was? It seems to me like you can't trust him. I personally wanted FDR back into the white house, but he is sort of dead and couldn't accept the position. I listened to two seperate interviews with Obama and after them I thought I had been talking to a liar. He either contradicts himself or says he was wrong about what he said before, even if he clearly says this is the truth. Also doesn't anyone find it alittle strange that he isn't even the president yet and he is already talking about how to fix the economy? Finally a report came out stating we have been in a recession since last December, does it really take a year before the government and wall street to discover this? Talk to any red blooded american and he can tell ya straight away. Obama is just trying to show that he is thinking of us, the people, now but the moment he becomes president he will just do what he has planned from the beginning. Change a system that isn't broken. When I was a young child i was told, "Don't fix what isn't broken." Did Obama miss that speech or something? I like having the ability to go out to my favorite store buy something and not worry about having to share my money or items with anyone else who doesn't deserve it. I know some of the less fortunate need help and will work, but I work hard for the few things I have.
Also what is wrong about saying the Pledge of Alligance, or taking the Oath of Office on the Bible? I am not a religious man, but when you are about to start leading a country that was built on christian principles then you do what is a right to the people. If he wants to be of another religion fine, that is his freedom. However, in a christian based country you respect the people and the traditions and you take the Oath on the Bible, and you Pledge Alligance to the Flag and you state proudly "ONE NATION UNDER GOD."
